Are you one of the 2.5 million managers who have received no or little formal training and how to manage? This is book is for you. I've codified the four behaviours of the best managers into what I call the CODE. It's light on theory and high on proven practicality. Each of the four habits is explained along with simple steps on how to implement it.

“I read your book last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it, found it to be both confidence-boosting and comforting to recognise elements of the Code already instilled, and then there was the many lightbulb moments, the ones that have you scrabbling for a pen or highlighter. It was an engaging, insightful and easy read… even when identifying myself ( thankfully rarely) in some outdated - inherited management styles!!! On completing the book, I immediately wanted to read it again, this time making notes!! Thank you!”

As a teacher, I feel that these are such important messages that we need to share and teach our children to help prepare them for life and the challenges they will face.”

“The problem with management books is they are written in management speak. Wonderfully this book captures, through a meander of thoughts, insights and reflections that being human and real is what it is all about. We all owe our good fortune to someone else and repaying that is about doing the right thing even if it is a difficult decision. A perfect lazy summer afternoon read that allows you to escape as almost a novel does. My advice is not to write notes and stack up against your reading list from the suggestions, there are some good ones, but just to set aside a few hours and binge-read it. Escape into other peoples' world visualise their life and marvel in human difference. I highly recommend it.”
